TIP OF THE DAY: Don't buy things unnecessarily - not only will you save money, you'll drastically cut CO2 emissions

1.  SCIENTISTS tell us global warming is happening – the same folks that told us the world was round, and that DNA exists. Don't listen to politicians, authors, or radio hosts who say it's not.

2.  If you don't think global warming is happening, human induced, and very serious take 5 minutes to view the quotes below, and then read this article in TIME.

3.  Do all you can starting TODAY, because tomorrow can't wait.

“… There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities.” – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency website, 9/24/05

"Human activity has been increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere...There is no scientific debate on this point...The concentration of CO2 in our atmosphere today, has not been exceeded in the last 420,000 years, and likely not in the last 20 million years." - NOAA, National Climate Data Center website, 1/31/07

“Harvard Professor James McCarthy was among a handful of top scientists who coordinated a remarkable report by the world scientific community in 2001 that said global warming is real, it's here, and it's going to be worse than we thought…” – Harvard University website, 9/24/05

"Global warming exists, and we have to do something about it, and what we have to do about it is reduce carbon dioxide." -- Dr. John Marburger, Science Advisor to President George W. Bush, in an address at Princeton University on March 1, 2005

“More than a century's worth of detailed climate observations show a sharp increase in both carbon dioxide and temperature. These observations, together with computer model simulations and historical climate reconstructions from ice cores, ocean sediments and tree rings all provide strong evidence that the majority of the warming over the past century is a result of human activities. This is also the conclusion drawn, nearly unanimously, by climate scientists. Any meaningful debate on the topic amongst climate experts is over.” The Weather Channel Position Statement on Global Warming, Weather Channel website – www.weather.com, January 2, 2007

“The bottom line is that if greenhouse gas emissions continue to increase, a significant warming trend is expected to also continue. The ability to adapt will be crucial. Potential outcomes range from moderate and manageable to extreme and catastrophic, depending on a number of factors including location and type of effect, and amount of greenhouse gas emissions. “ The Weather Channel Position Statement on Global Warming, Weather Channel website – www.weather.com, January 2, 2007
